Our topic is around the world and we are currently reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Take a look at some of the things we have been up to this term!
This term we are learning about the Victorians. As part of this we will be reading Oliver Twist. We had a fantastic time at the Black Country Living Museum, stepping into the shoes of different Victorian children.
We have come back after Christmas thinking hard about how we can protect the amazing planet we live on! We are thinking about the way humans affect Earth, both positively and negatively. We have learnt that the 3 R's - reduce, reuse, recycle - are important rules to follow!
This term we are answering the question 'why's water wonderful?'. We are learning about different bodies of water and doing independent research about different major rivers of the world. We are learning all about the water cycle and using this knowledge to create books for younger children. We are also reading the classic novel - The Wind in the Willows.
Our topic this term leads us to Baghdad, around the year AD 900. We will be answering the question - 'What's so golden about the Islamic Golden Age?' We will compare the city to what life was like in England at the time. To support this, we will read the tales of Arabian Nights.
