How to report abuse or neglect of a child

  • What is Child Abuse? Child abuse is when a child is intentionally harmed by an adult or another child – it can be over a period of time but can also be a one-off action. It can be physical, sexual or emotional and it can happen in person or online. It can also be a lack of love, care and attention – this is neglect.

Domestic Abuse - support for parents/carers and community

  • Domestic Abuse - links for parents and carers LWA is a domestic and sexual abuse charity based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, and was formerly known as Loughborough Women’s Aid. We provide support to men, women and children affected by domestic abuse and/or sexual violence across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
  • Free From Violence and Abuse Formerly known as UAVA - FREEVA can be contacted for support with any concerns relating to violence and abuse.
